About the Event
Making jewellery is an exploratory art, often the metals can change shape during the process, and you can go in a new direction. With skilled assistance you will have fun creating your very own unique jewellery with tools including blowtorches, dremels, hammers and the anvil. The class has a maximum of 6 participants which allows for a lot of time with the instructor and sharing with other participants. It is a fun and intimate environment to learn and create. All tools will be explained, and no experience is necessary. We start by selecting the ring or earrings you want to create. Please note this workshop does not include bangles or stone setting.
If you have a design or idea please contact me before the workshop to make sure we have time to bring this to life.
You will learn hands on how to use different tools, and techniques to create your piece. Sarah has a laid back teaching style, when she first handled tools she was nervous and a little bit concerned about burning holes in the carpet, or not being strong enough. With most tools a light touch is enough to create your work.
